The Tr'L Rass Quadrant (Hukutav'ragnith Tr'L Rass) is the only region in Epsilon that is held solely by the Kilrathi and was never seriously challenged by the Confederation for overall control. The area remained largely peaceful during the war, though it did host a couple of incursions by TCS Tiger's Claw during Operation Thor's Hammer in 2655; this was the only major Terran incursion to incur here. The area played host to several important bases and colonies during the war and for the most part represented a final sanctuary for Kilrathi forces before they reached the front lines. The region was claimed relatively quickly by the KAC before any major regional warlords set up shop here, though the KAC still has to deal with occasional raids onits border systems by warlords based out of M'Shrak Sector. The region also plays host to the home base of the Crimson Claw pirate clan, which has become a regional hegemon in recent years. The area is generally depressed, though the colony of K'Nag Urel in Jotunheim recently has, with the help of Terran-based corporations, become one of the most prosperous worlds in the entire Sector.
Anchorage[]
Anchorage is the code name for the Jakal Tang star system, a Kilrathi-controlled area in the Tr'L Rass Quadrant. It features an Agricultural World with the same name. Anchorage was the first star system explored by the Kilrathi during their initial conquest of Epsilon Sector; at the time of its discovery, a jump tunnel connected the system directly to the Cairo system in the Roberts Quadrant of Vega Sector, placing the system a strategic three jumps from Kilrah through Hyperion. Kilrathi scouts discovered a tidally locked, largely pelagic world in close proximity to the system's M-type star, which was cataloged as a potential future colony site. More optimal worlds in the Quadrant were settled and conquered by the Kilrathi leading into the early war years. The system was finally settled with permission of the Kilrathi emperor by a group of Sivaran cultists in 2632, who were searching for a new site with which to husband prey animals according to the tenets of the kithrak culunary philosophy. The group met with great success in their efforts, so much so that they established the School of Holy Prey (Daik Uktakutga) in 2648. Even with the War with the Confederation in full swing and a shortage of foodstores among their colonies in Vega and Epsilon, the Sivarists were allowed special dispensation for their prey to go only into the hands of Sivaran temples throughout the Empire. Anchorage System became briefly embroiled in the war in 2655, when TCS Tiger's Claw was dispatched on a special mission to destroy a Kilrathi research base in the neighboring Jakarta system as part of the tail-end of Operation Thor's Hammer. Anchorage remained a strategic system for the Empire until 2662, when the jump tunnel between Cairo and Anchorage shut down unexpectedly, possibly due to the after-effects of a distant supernova. At that point the system was relegated to the status of a backwater province of the Empire; ships travelling to the front lines in Epsilon, Enigma and Landreich Sectors now had to travel a far more circuitous route to reach the region, requiring the Empire to establish additional support stations and extending their supply lines through vulnerable regions. This single event alone delayed the Kilrathi advance in Enigma and probably prevented an early end to the war in favor of the Kilrathi. Its isolation has largely kept it out of the civil wars plaguing the former Empire in the post-war years. Anchorage today remains a true backwater, accessible only to the outside through the jumps to Jakal through Jakarta and effectively under the control of the Crimson Claws in Jakal. Less than ten cargo ships pass through the system on an average daily basis; these usually fly Paulsen livery and support their office in the capital. The local Brajakhar is currently in negotiation with Rondell Corporation to act as a regional fuel distributor, but with the Crimson Claws controlling commerce in the corridor, any deal brokered will have to involve them at some point and would probably require significant cuts into Rondell's potential profit margin. The Claws have demanded tribute from Jakal Tang as they did with Ukta'ari in neighboring Jakarta system, but they generally don't expect as much from Jakal Tang owing to their distance and out of partial respect for the planet's traditional role (or rather the potential for profit from Sivaran temples throughout the former Empire requesting the world's food). The planet does have its own local militia and does see the occasional KAC Police patrol out of Bifrost; between the two military forces and the low amount of traffic, in-system piracy is kept to a minimal level.

Asgard[]
Asgard is a star system in the Tr'L Rass Quadrant. Its Kilrathi name is K'nag'n'Khur and it features Ka'traggil, an Agricultural World. Like all the other systems in Tr'L Rass Quadrant, Asgard became part of the Kilrathi Empire during their initial expansion into Epsilon in the early 27th Century. The first planet orbiting the twin M-type stars in the system's center was reported to be inhabitable by scout ships, but due to more optimal conditions at K'Nag Urel in the adjacent Jotunheim system, it was passed over as a colonial site until the Terran-Kilrathi War was well under way. In the meantime, the system served as one of many transfer stations along trade and supply routes running between worlds in M'Shrak Sector such as Hhallas and remote colony worlds in Enigma and Landreich Sectors such as Shariha, K'Tithrak Mang and Baka Kar. In 2653, citing several food shortages in their more distant outposts, the Emperor ordered the founding of new ranching colonies on several previously uncolonized worlds throughout the Empire; the world that would take the name Ka'traggil was amongst these, with the community of Kranthor established on the surface the following year. The colony's original focus was on traggil ranching and multiple herds of the animals were imported for that purpose, but the food crisis was severe enough that in order to supplement it a Wu slaughterhouse was established in the community. Afterwards the world supplied many of the worlds in the region with a steady supply of food for the remainder of the War. Like most Kilrathi worlds, several warlords attempted to lay claim to the system when the Empire collapsed in 2669; were it not for the heavy militia presence on the planet's surface, it would likely have been overrun. Asgard's populace ultimately joined the KAC when that body was formed and currently is represented in the Council of the Assembly. The world continues to serve as a Kilrathi ranching world, though the slaughterhouse was forced to shut down due to the provisions of the Treaty of Torgo. The Churdai'hath Wu'hra building is one of the few examples of a Wu slaughterhouse still standing and has since become a tourist attraction, albeit a grisly one. The system still sees fairly heavy commercial traffic, with four of the Sector's major corporations operating trade routes through the area. Roughly 180 cargo ships on average pass through the system on a daily basis. Rondell Corporation has contracted with the government of Kranthor to bring traggil meat to other portions of Epsilon and even into portions of the Confederation; the system serves as an end-point along their dangerous Anchorage-Asgard trade route. Even with the heavy commercial activity, Asgard can only boast an average trade volume. Piracy in the area is somewhat moderate, with the Crimson Claws very active in the region due to the location of their main base in the adjacent Jakal system. The local militia headquarters is still in operation to this day and the system's military presence is occasionally bolstered by KAC Police forces out of Bifrost and Border Worlds Naval Reserve forces out of Antares.

B'shriss[]
B'shriss is a star system in the Tr'L Rass Quadrant. It features B'shriss, a Kilrathi reservation world under the jurisdiction of the Broken Claw Agency. It is one of the three systems that comprise the area known as Spinward Tr'L Rass and the only one that is politically aligned with Antares Quadrant, its sole jump tunnel connecting directly to Corsair. The jump node to B'Shriss was first discovered in 2634 by a military supply convoy nearing the end of a run to S'thran H'hra. A survey ship was sent by the Empire to confirm the find; the survey revealed the presence of a marginally habitable tidally locked planet around the larger of the two M-type stars in the system. The Emperor ordered the establishment of a colony on the new world to act as a forward support area for military forces in Epsilon; Brajakh B'Shriss was established in mid-2636. Conditions on the planet (in particular the extreme vulcanism) made taming the new world costly, but eventually a major barracks facility and prison camp were established on the planet's surface. It was during a failed attempt to assault this facility in 2656 that famed TCS Tiger's Claw pilot MAJ Michael "Iceman" Casey lost his life (reported publicly as having occurred while he was on a deep space patrol); this was the only notable event that occurred in the system for the duration of the War. The end of the War was devestating to the planet's economy; without the military supply traffic the community became so impoverished that none of the nearby warlords even attempted to take over for fear of the drain it would place on their already strained economies. The Confederation ultimately designated the colony as one of eighteen Kilrathi reservation worlds, with the existing (if somewhat dilapidated) barracks and prison camp facilities serving to hold the extra populace. In 2672, the laq Agga of Corsair laid claim to the system as part of their demesne; their increasingly large demands for tribute for passage rights was one of the factors that lead to the joint Confederation and KAC strikes on their forces in Corsair in 2677, effectively turning full control of the system back over to the Broken Claw. B'Shriss remains one of the few remaining Kilrathi reservation worlds, and has by far seen the most controversy. Reports of corruption and abuse at the hands of Broken Claw Agents regularly surface from the planet, as well as high crime and murder rates among the Kilrathi populace (attributable to the nar Qarg / nar Sihkag fued). Indeed, things have become bad enough that the denizens of Brajakh B'Shriss changed the community's name to Ja'lra Ek'hra'ha Rakhavk a few years ago - a question pointed towards the planet's new Confederation masters: "Why are our people dishonored?". Paulsen Kinetics has an office on the planet's surface; the 50 cargo ships the system sees on an average day all fly the Paulsen livery. A combination of Border Worlds Naval Reserve forces and a strong planetary militia presence keep piracy at bay; B'Shriss system has a relatively low piracy rate, though a wide diversity of pirate groups operate in the system, including the DeathHeads and all three of Epsilon's native pirate clans.
Campaign Note: Any character in the campaign that lists B'Shriss at their place of origin must take an initial Wealth Complication of -10 due to the conditions in the reservation.

Bifrost[]
Bifrost is the code name for the K'nag'nH'hra star system, a Kilrathi-controlled area located in the Tr'L Rass Quadrant. It features K'nag'nH'hra Station, which is also known as Mimir Station in Terran circles and usually referred to by this name even by the Kilrathi due to the relative ease of pronunciation. Bifrost, like most of the systems in Tr'L Rass Quadrant, was originally scouted by Kilrathi military forces during their initial conquest of the Sector in the early 27th Century. Despite the lack of habitable worlds or the presence of any mineralogically viable asteroids, it was clear to the Kilrathi leadership from the beginning that Bifrost would be a strategically important transit station; scouts located no less than half a dozen jump points leading from the system, with some of those connecting to systems in adjacent Sa'Khan and Dath'que Quadrants. With its location six jumps from Kilrah utilizing the Jakal Tang Corridor, it made sense to establish a refueling depot in the area. The first supply depot in the region was established in 2619 according to surviving records, receiving radioactives for fuel processing from bases such as Ek'ra'krarah in the adjacent Ingraya system. The system did indeed become strategically vital and the base became one of the most important refueling stops for the Kilrathi in the entire region. It was this fact that ultimately would turn it into a target. In 2655 during Operation Thor's Hammer, the command staff aboard TCS Tiger's Claw in pursuit of KIS Sivar noted heavy Kilrathi traffic in the system and strongly suspected the presence of a supply base in the system. Reasoning that Sivar would attempt to refuel there, the destruction of the base became a primary goal. Reconnaissance flights located the base and it was described in a subsequent strike mission just as Sivar was entering the system, forcing the ship to head to Valgard; Sivar would later be destroyed by pilots off of Tiger's Claw in Vigrid System. This action was the only major Confederation incursion into the system during the war, but it proved to be a significant one; the loss of the refueling depot disrupted trade throughout all of Tr'L Rass Quadrant and proved to be completely unacceptable to the Kilrathi military command. Plans were drawn up to rebuild the base almost immediately. The outpost that would eventually come to be known as Mimir Station went online in 2656, just in time to support the invasion of Firekka. The new base was built to be stronger and better defended than the original Star Post, eventually housing a significant military fighter garrison. At the end of the war, the station once again proved itself a juicy target; whoever controlled it could effectively control most of Tr'L Rass. Fortunately, the base administrator was a shrewd Cat that had no ambition of becoming a warlord; using the base's garrison for leverage, he allowed the local clan elders to broker deals with various warlords for safe passage through the system and use of the base's refueling facilities, allowing the base to effectively remain neutral. The KAC eventually claimed Bifrost as part of its demesne; as part of the annexation deal made with the station's clan leaders, the station's garrison became official members of the KAC Police and all deals brokered with warlords for fueling rights would still be honored so long as they weren't warring against the KAC. Mimir remains an important weigh station for commerce and military vessels to this day, and the station has recently opened up a school dedicated to the preservation of Kilrathi language and culture that currently is seeing modest attendance. All of the major Terran corporations in the Sector operating in Tr'L Rass route ships through Bifrost, with most of them en route to K'Nag Urel in Jotunheim. About 150 cargo ships pass through on an average daily basis. Piracy in the system is somewhat high due both to the heavy commercial traffice as well as to the presence of the primary Crimson Claw base in adjacent Jakal system. The Demon's Eye Pack also occasionally sends ships into the system to conduct raids, though as a rule the stay out of the area in order to keep the peace with the Claws. Of the Terran pirate clans, the Jezebels are the most notably active group in the system. The station's KAC Police garrison patrols much of Tr'L Rass and they make a concerted effort to honor the base's safe passage agreements, destroying any would-be pirates they come across without mercy.

Ingraya[]
Ingraya is a star system in the Tr'L Rass Quadrant. It features Ek'ra'krarah, a mining base, and the Kilrathi colonial world of Ingraya (sometimes known as Ingraya V). Ingraya was first scouted by the Kilrathi during their initial conquest of the Sector. Surveys of the system revealed that the fifth planet around the system's F-type primary was habitable; it would turn out to be one of the few habitable planets in the entire Sector that was not tidally locked to the star. With a reasonably high mineralogical content and a descent biosphere, Ingraya V quickly rose to the top of the list for potential colony sites in the Sector; the settlement of Thrakrakh'Sivar was established on the planet's surface in 2614, the first Kilrathi colony in the Quadrant and the second established in the entire Sector (after Chloe in Corsair). The mining base was established a few years later to provide raw ores for the colonization effort, and later to support shipbuilding in the region. Well away from the frontier with the Terrans, Ingraya never became directly embroiled in the war against the Terrans and continued to grow slowly. Ingraya tried its hand as both a mining world and an agricultural world before the local clan leaders decided to turn it into a seat of learning; Thrakdaik Ingraya was established in 2652 and became one of the prominent upper division schools in the Empire. Its success led to the founding of a Fleet Support School in 2663. The end of the war in 2669 brought with it the chaos of civil war, the school campuses becoming battlefields for local warlords and several warlords based in Dath'que Quadrant. Though both campuses ultimately survived long enough to see the system fall into the demesne of the KAC, a number of research facilities were heavily damaged or destroyed in the fighting. Work on reconstruction is ongoing and in the meantime classes have resumed, though not nearly as many students are attending in the post-war years. Meantime, a deal was struck between the local clan leaders at Ek'ra'krarah and Bartok Industries that has given Bartok complete administrative rights there. Bartok is currently investigating the remaining mineralogical content of the asteroid on which the base is situated; so far it appears the base may continue operations for roughly a decade before it becomes completely played out. A backwater system along a little used portion of Tr'L Rass Quadrant, Ingraya sees just fifteen cargo ships on an average daily basis, either Persotech ships headed for the planet, Bartok ships headed to the mining base or Rondell ships heading on to Xxhuk'Tahn in Tr'L Rass (1). The low traffic volume keeps piracy down; the Crimson Claw are active in the system and claim it as part of their territory, though there are occasional encounters with the Demon's Eye Pack. Of the Terran pirate clans, the Morgans are the most active in the system's borders. Security for space-going traffic in the system is provided by KAC Police forces out of Bifrost as well as by a local militia. Confederation Navy patrols out of Valgard occasionally foray as far out as Ingraya.

Jakal[]
Jakal is a star system in the Tr'L Rass Quadrant. It features Brajakh Ka'rakhav, the primary base of the Crimson Claw pirate clan. Jakal was the third system surveyed by the Kilrathi during their initial conquest of the region, the system located just five jumps from Kilrah at the time through the Jakal Tang (Anchorage) corridor. Scans of the local asteroid belt revealed the presence of a single large asteroid with significant deposits of several valuable ores. In particular, the asteroid was noted for having a high content of gold. Construction of a mining base on the asteroid's surface began in 2615; J'qithchak mining base came on-line the following year, the first such Kilrathi facility in the Sector. J'qithchak exhausted the asteroid completely due to high demand; in 2664, the 'roid was declared "played out". There was some talk of converting the base into a refueling depot, but nothing ever came of it due to the asteroids, and by the end of the war the system had effectively been abandoned. When the Crimson Claw began their operations in the early 2670s, they found the old base and set up shop, renaming it Brajakh Ka'rakhav, Fortress of the Blood of the Dishonored. The Crimson Claw has been in control of the system ever since, terrorizing the neighboring systems and effectively becoming a regional hegemon, controlling commerce along the entire Jakal Tang corridor. Jakal today sees a fairly minimal amount of commerce, mainly ships from Rondell Corporation and Paulsen Kinetics headed en route to their offices in Anchorage and Jakarta, with the Claws having extorted a sizable amount of tribute from both corporations for the right of free passage. Forces of the KAC Police out of Bifrost occasionally patrol the system and there have been skirmishes between them and the Claws, though both groups are reluctant to engage the other given the current state of the former Empire. TCN forces out of Valgard and Border World Naval Reserve forces out of Antares also may occasionally be found patrolling the system, though their presence has done little to loosen the iron grip of the Claws.

Jakarta[]
Jakarta is a star system in the Tr'L Rass Quadrant, one of three systems that form the Jakal Tang Corridor. The system is more commonly referred to by its Kilrathi name, Jakal Pakh. It features Ukta'ari, a sparsely-populated agricultural world. Four jumps from Kilrah at the time, Jakarta was one of the first systems in the Sector to be surveyed by the Kilrathi. The second planet orbiting the system's K7 primary was discovered to be habitable, though like many of the habitable worlds of the Sector it was tidally locked to the primary. The planet was initially passed over as a possible colony site. In the meantime, however, the Empire established a spacelab in the system; this lab eventually grew to become a major weapons research facility where, among other things, the design specifications and initial research into the technologies that led to the development of the Graviton Gun were conducted. An agricultural outpost was eventually established on Jakal Pakh II in 2646, ultimately taking the name Ukta'ari (Prey Food of Support), which primarily was responsible for the development of feed materials for other ranching outposts in the Sector though a respectable amount of ranching took place there as well. The system became briefly embroiled in the War in 2655 as part of Operation Thor's Hammer when forces off of TCS Tiger's Claw destroyed the Jakal Pakh Spacelab; with more important things to deal with at the time, the Empire never got around to re-establishing a research facility in the system. Things took an economic turn for the worse for the Ukta'ari colony when the Cairo-Anchorage Jump Point shut down unexpectedly in 2662, relegating the system to the status of backwater. The end of the War brought with it the same chaos as was seen throughout the Empire; as with Anchorage, its relative isolation kept it out of the demesne of any of the major warlords, though the system was briefly claimed by the lak Agga warlords on Corsair before more local matters drew their attention (in truth, the system was too far away given the size of their fleet for them to control the area effectively). When the Crimson Claw set up shop in the adjacent Jakal system, they arranged a meeting with the leaders of Ukta'ari to demand tribute in exchange for allowing the agricultural colony to continue to exist. Most of the population of the colony fled to Jakal Tang when the deal went sour; those that remained eventually worked out a deal with the Claws to keep them supplied with steady shipments of food, an arrangement that has worked out to the satisfaction of the Claws to this point, though the local leaders fear the next inevitable drought that strikes the planet. The lack of commerce and tribute has drained the local economy; today Jakarta has the lowest economic trade volume of any inhabited system in Epsilon at a mere 13 million credits annually. About fifteen commercial vessels pass through the system daily, Rondell vessels headed for Ukta'ari and Paulsen vessels headed on to Anchorage. KAC Police forces from Bifrost occasionally foray into the system and Confederation patrols out of Valgard can occasionally be encountered as well, though the patrols are more likely to be dealing with forces of the Crimson Claws in Jakal, leaving local security in the hands of the understaffed planetary militia and placing the Claws in the role of a regional hegemon. The Claws are the only pirate group to operate in Jakarta, where they maintain a generally moderate presence ensure that those cargo ships that venture into the area have paid their proper tributes.

Jotunheim[]
Jotunheim is a star system in the Tr'L Rass Quadrant. It features Rah'nigath, a Mining Base, and K'nag Urel, a heavily-populated Agricultural World that shares the Kilrathi name for the system. K'Nag Urel was not intended to become a major Kilrathi colony world from the beginning; like many of the habitable worlds in the Sector, the first planet orbiting the binary M-type stars in the center of the system was tidally locked, providing only a thin ribbon zone near the planetary twilight that would be suitable for colonization. K'Nag Urel's large size brought with it another factor against it - the planetary gravity was very strong, over two gees. For this reason the planet remained uninhabited until 2642, when significant deposits of molybdenum and silver were discovered on the surface. The community of K'Jihn ("Without a Little Fire", a cultural reference) was founded and mining operations began. The planet's silver attracted certain members of the Cult of Sivar, who founded the temple community of K'Tikthar on the planet's surface the following year. When a severe food shortage began to affect the fleet in 2653, the Emperor ordered the planetary governor to begin ranching and production of ruxfra. The communities of Duka Agon and Harth'Ja were founded to support these efforts and within a few years the planet had a diverse economic base, becoming one of the few worlds in the empire to support production of food, ores and manufactured goods simultaneously. The mining base of Rah'nigath was also founded the same year. Located on a mineralogically rich asteroid, its presence allowed Jotunheim system to continue to maintain the same throughput of ores even as K'nag Urel switched over to food production. Jotunheim rarely saw more than the occasional Confederation raid during the War; one major exception occurred in 2655 during Operation Thor's Hammer, when TCS Tiger's Claw penetrated deep into the Empire in pursuit of KIS Sivar. In was in this system that pilots off of Tiger's Claw were ambushed by the captured TCS Gwynhevar, though they were able to escape the ambush and destroy the captured Confederation ship. The Empire later established a war college in K'Jihn and commissioned a base for the planetary militia, preventing further raids of the magnitude seen in Tiger's Claw excursion through the system. The Sivaran cult in K'Tikthar would later found its own college as the planetary population continued to grow, and later still the community of Duka Agon was repurposed into a pleasure district, eventually coming to play host to one of the Sector's Imperial Brothels. With a population of over a billion Kilrathi, K'Nag Urel was hard hit when the war ended in the sudden and unexpected collapse of the Empire, with no fewer than a dozen local warlords vying for control of the planet. It was through the machinations of one of these would be warlords - Gar dai Tr'rath, administrator of the Thrakdaivrax Rag'nith in Duka Agon - that most of the fighting one day suddenly stopped, with all but one of the other warlords - Ihn nar Raghitagha - agreeing to rule the planet jointly. The new planetary Junta swiftly dealt with nar Raghitagha and all of his clan were booted from the planetary capital of K'Jihn. Rebuilding efforts were swift thanks to the resources available to the colony world and the acumen of dai Tr'rath, who eventually brokered deals with all of the major Terran corporations to conduct business of the planet's surface. The world of K'nag Urel today is the largest Kilrathi world in Epsilon Sector and ranks among the top twenty known Kilrathi worlds in terms of overall population. Its overall economic throughput is one of the strongest in the Sector, rivaled only by Firekka (and it is difficult to ascertain which one of the two is higher). A syndicate of the corporations has set up shop in K'Jihn, which has annoyed the local populace of nar Qarg in recent years, with numerous assaults and murders of Terran businessmen in the last per capita year. The nar Raghitagha, meanwhile, continue to be treated as pariahs within the city limits. K'Tikthar's House of Sivar has become both holy site and a draw for tourists, though the community has recently taken the controversial step of kicking out all of the nar Sihkag as a preventative measure to avoid their ongoing fued against the nar Qarg, a problem currently being experienced in the community of Harth'Ja. An epidemic of Immunodeficiency Virus has gripped Duka Agon for the last two years, impoverishing the once vibrant community and rousing the anger of its citizenry towards tourists. A group of German businesss introduced the notion of Oktoberfest to the Brajakhar of Harth'Ja a few years ago, and since the community has come to host one of the larger festivals in Epsilon Sector and the only one known to be conducted in Kilrathi territory. Jotunheim system sees nearly 180 cargo ships pass through it on an average daily basis. KAC Police forces from Bifrost, Confederation Naval forces out of Valgard, and the occasional Border Worlds patrol out of Antares all serve to keep the peace in the spacelanes and piracy is low in the system for the amount of commerce it sees. The DeathHeads and Despoilers are notably active in Jotunheim. Occasional encounters with the Demon's Eye Pack have been reported of late. Surprisingly, the Crimson Claws leave the system alone despite it being just two jumps from their primary base in Jakal; this state of affairs is likely costing somebody somewhere a great deal of money, though one can only speculate who might wield that much power over the rogue Kilrathi group.

K'nag Rha[]
K'nag Rha is a star system in the Tr'L Rass Quadrant. It features Rah K’rakh, a pirate base. Like the adjacent Kabla Meth system, K'nag Rha was initially inhabited by the Kilrathi during their initial expansion into the Sector in the early 27th Century. After scouts located a mineralogically rich minor dwarf planet in K'nag Rha, a mining base was established in the system; the world and the base would eventually take the name Rah'dyahuga (World of Plenty), with the base coming online in 2623 according to surviving records. In the case of Rah'dyahuga, the base was established solely to support the manufacturing efforts going on in neighboring Kabla Meth rather than as a general supply center for Kilrathi refineries. Ores originally mined from Rah'dyahuga were used in the construction of Kabla Meth Station among other things. Confederation forces never penetrated into Kabla Meth during the war years; as a bolt-hole system with its single jump tunnel connecting it directly to Kabla Meth, K'nag Rha was effectively able to stay out of the war and with the symbiotic relationship ongoing between the two systems, Rah'dyahuga became one of the most prosperous mining facilities in the entire Empire. This happy state of affairs came to an end with the end of the War and the chaos that gripped the former Empire. The base's administrator at the time, Ratharin lak Shuqitha nar Sutaghi, made a short-lived bid to join the ranks of the warlords and carve out a personal fiefdom for himself, starting with Rah'dyahuga. Ratharin's major problem, the one that prevented his takeover of more territory in the central regions of Epsilon, was the establishment of the Broken Claw Agency's administration over Kabla Meth Station; with them in the way, he was unable to claim dominion over Kabla Meth, and he lacked the forces necessary to make a direct assault and remove that obstacle (one of the problems of being a warlord is, of course, the fact that a warlord generally needs to have a loyal standing military force - which Ratharin never has possessed to this day). His takeover of Rah'dyahuga effectively ended the symbiotic relationship between his base and Kabla Meth, tanking Kabla Meth's economy and earning him the ire of his clan elders. After refusing to commit zu'kara as the elders demanded, Ratharin saw declared sa'guk by his clan and in order to maintain control over his base - the one thing he did control absolutely and unquestionably by that point - Ratharin looked to the Sector's pirate clans; he transformed his base into a free port and safe haven, renaming it and opening it up to scum from across the Sector. He struck an deal with the Thieves Guild that allowed them to operate openly and free of all interference on his base in early 2671, a deal that restored the base's profits and probably saved Ratharin's hide, though it prevented him from ever attempting to build up a war fleet for himself (a stipulation thrust upon him by the Guild, much to their credit). K'nag Rha today sees about fifty cargo carrying ships on an average daily basis, usually Bartok, Bronte or AMQ craft that have either been commandeered in Kabla Meth or who have gotten lost and inadvertently blundered into the system. Ratharin has entertained the notion of establishing legitimate business with these corporations, but he is in the position where he cannot guarantee them safe passage to the base, hence no such deal has yet been struck. Pirate activity in the system, as might be expected, is very high; the Despoilers and DeathHeads both maintain a strong presence in K'nag Rha and given that both Ratharin and Krahtagh N'Ryllis, the leader of the Demon's Eye Pack, are both sa'guk originally of the clan Sutaghi, the base has strong ties to the Demon's Eye Pack as well (indeed, the Pack usually visits Rah K’rakh when it needs to contact the Thieves Guild for various reasons). Military forces can occasionally be seen in the system in pursuit of pirates, particularly KAC Police forces out of Kabla Meth but sometimes Border Worlds or even Confederation naval forces as well.

K'nag Rahl[]
K'nag Rahl is a star system in the Tr'L Rass Quadrant. It features Ka'narurah, a mining base. K'Nag Rahl was first charted by the Kilrathi in 2642, when a jump point to the system was discovered by a militia patrol operating out of Bifrost in neighboring Jotunheim. The presence of the system's neutron star delayed a more immediate investigation of the new system until early in the following year. In the meantime, the colony on K'Nag Urel was established and was growing rapidly. The subsequent survey of K'nag Rahl revealed no planets of substantial value or colonization potential but several large asteroids capable of sustained mining operations were detected. With the need for raw materials to supply the new colonies, plans were rapidly drawn up for a mining base. Construction of Kaknis'rah ("flowing blood of the world") Mining Base began in early 2643 and the base went online before the year was out. The asteroid on which the base was situated proved to be particularly rich in crucial mineralogical veins and for many years the base supplied many vital raw ores. The system was never penetrated by the Terrans for the duration of the war. When the Empire collapsed, the base became embroiled in the same local civil wars that threatened to consume the colonies on Jotunheim; no single warlord was able to take ahold of the station due to the presence of the neutron star and the frequent asteroid belts in the system, and when the dust settled it was in the hands of the leaders of the local Miner's Guild. Things have remained quiet on the base since then, though with the end of the War the demand for the raw ores has fallen off considerably. K'nag Rahl today remains an optimal Kilrathi possession. Persotech set up a local office in the system a few years ago; at the moment they are the only major corporation operating in the system, sending in just over seventy cargo ships on an average day. In-system security is provided by KAC Police forces stationed out of Bifrost as well as by a local militia stationed off the mining base; the militia has clocked a substantial number of hours in the system's ample asteroid belts. Piracy is fairly low owing to the limited cargos coming out of the base as well as to the strong militia presence. The Crimson Claw operates in the system and claims it as part of their overall demesne; several Terran pirate clans also operate within the system's boundaries.

Kabla Meth[]
Kabla Meth is a star system in the Tr'L Rass Quadrant. It features Kabla Meth Station, administrative headquarters of the Broken Claw Agency. Kabla Meth was initially inhabited by the Kilrathi during their initial expansion into the Sector in the early 27th Century; surviving records indicate that an industrial colony had been established on the system's sole habitable planet by the year 2620. During the war years, the system remained firmly in Kilrathi hands and the planet was a major center of Kilrathi industry. Due to the strategic importance of the planet and the centralized location of the system within the Sector, the Kilrathi High Command ultimately built Kabla Meth Station to serve as their Sector HQ; the base went online in 2656. The station was surrendered to Confederation custody at War's end and its standing populace was relocated to the planet, which subsequently became one of several Kilrathi reservation worlds. The station shortly thereafter became the Sector headquarters of the Broken Claw Agency, which was charged with the oversight of all Kilrathi reservation worlds within the Sector. As part of the change in ownership, a refit of the base occurred which decreased the amount of available hangar space in favor of additional living quarters; the station can now accommodate up to 50,000 residents and is nearing capacity. The Confederation is currently in negotiations with both the Kilrathi Provisional Council and the Union of Border Worlds regarding a possible lease of the base by the Outerworlds Navy with a corresponding change of administration. The end of the war and the disappearance of the planet's primary customer - namely the Kilrathi war machine - has been particularly difficult for the residents of the planet; it has been in a global economic depression since war's end, despite efforts by the Broken Claw Agency and the local corporations to buy out the planet's production capability. Poverty has become widespread on a global scale. The government of the largest city on the planet has recently collapsed and two local warlords are vyying for control; tensions are mounting and though the Confederation Navy has yet to be called to take control of the situation, many in the region feel it's only a matter of time before they are forced to get involved. A similar situation in another of the planet's main cities, Nykq, has recently come to a violent conclusion; though order has been restored, many of the community's cultural treasures were lost. The system itself sees about 140 cargo ships pass through on an average daily basis, with most of the major corporations in the Sector having established offices on the planet, on the station or both. The KAC Police maintains an active force of fighters on the station, sending frequent patrols into the neighboring systems to help keep piracy in the region in check. The Demon's Eye Pack operates in the system along with several Terran pirate clans, of which the Despoilers are the most active. Pirates in the system are frequently en route to the haven at K'nag Rha, but a few actively operate in the system's boundaries.

Tr'L Rass (1)[]
Tr'L Rass (1) is one of three remote star systems located in the Tr'L Rass Quadrant, and the only one of the three to not only be cataloged but to have a permanent settlement within its boundaries. It features Xxhuk'Tahn, a refinery base. Situated four jumps from the M'Shrak system and five jumps from the colony of Hhallas, Tr'L Rass (1)'s status as a bolt-hole system (one with only a single jump point in or out) made it a natural spot for a secure manufacturing facility to support colonization efforts throughout the rest of the Sector. Xxhuk'Tahn Refinery came on line in 2619, making it one of the very first Kilrathi space stations to be located in the Sector. A petition to rename the system as Xxhuk'Tahn was submitted to the Emperor in 2629 but was never heeded; this probably was due to a bureaucratic mixup, with the petition arriving in the Imperial Court on .105 that year - the same day KIS K'rath'kan had its infamous rendezvous with TCS Iason. Xxhuk'Tahn served the Empire faithfully during the War years. At War's end, several warlords in Dath'que Quadrant vied for control over the refinery. The matter of ownership was settled when KAC Police forces stationed out of Bifrost began a permanent blockade of Dath'que (4), cutting off their access to the system. Clashes in Dath'que (4) continue to this day. Meanwhile, with traffic reduced at the end of the War and with it so far from the Terran borders, Tr'L Rass (1) has little to do with Sector-wide affairs anymore. Today the system is one of the least frequently visited locales in Epsilon. Rondell Corporation signed an agreement to supply the base's denizens with food in 2676; to date they are the only major corporation in the Sector to take an interest in the system, and they send less than ten cargo ships to the system on an average daily basis. The low commerce rate coupled with a modest militia and KAC police presence has led to minimal piracy in the system. Of the major pirate clans in Epsilon Sector, the Morgans are most active in the system; given the low piracy rate, they are still encountered quite infrequently. A new petition has gone out to the KAC Council recently to have the system officially renamed.

Tr'L Rass (2)[]
Tr'L Rass (2) (also known as Tr'L Rass De) is one of three uncataloged, remote star systems in the Tr'L Rass Quadrant. It features no planetary bodies of note and due to the lack of any natural resources it has never been inhabited by any major faction, though it is optimally in Kilrathi territory. It mainly serves as a transfer station between the Ingraya system and major worlds in the M'Shrak Sector, most notably M'Shrak itself. The system was one of many conquered by the Kilrathi during their conquest of the Wu Hegemony, and it was of such low strategic value to the Confederation that no challenge was ever made for its ownership during the War (not to mention the fact that it was well behind the Kilrathi front lines). It remains a nominal Kilrathi holding. Commercial traffic through the system today is very light owing to the general lack of commerce between KAC holdings and those of the warlords of M'Shrak Sector; the Rondell Corporation sends about twenty cargo ships through the system on an average day on their way to Tr'L Rass (1), which accounts for what pirate presence there is in the system; the system is one of the few in Epsilon where the Scavages are notably active. What security there is in the system generally comes from KAC Police forces out of Bifrost, who occasionally are dispatched as far out as Tr'L Rass (2). There is some dispute over control of the system between the KAC and the warlords of M'Shrak, though in general both groups are stationed too far away to lay a firm claim to the system; conflicts over ownership do occur but these are exceptionally rare. All in all there isn't a great deal of space traffic in the system these days, making it one of the few places in Epsilon where a ship may pass without running into anybody else.

Tr'L Rass (3)[]
Tr'L Rass (3) (also known as Tr'L Rass Tre) is one of three uncataloged, remote star systems in the Tr'L Rass Quadrant. It features no planetary bodies of note and due to the lack of any natural resources it has never been inhabited by any major faction, though it is optimally in Kilrathi territory. The system was first discovered by Kilrathi scouts during the initial conquest of the Tr'L Rass Quadrant, who quickly determined that there were no planets orbiting the system's A-type star nor any comets or asteroids large enough to be worth exploiting; the system's most noteworthy feature was a particularly dense field of asteroids that coincided with a strong belt of solar radiation, a region very hazardous to explore. Further exploratory efforts proved that there were no additional jump tunnels leading out of the system. With it being utterly devoid of value, the system remained unused by the Kilrathi throughout the war years. When the Crimson Claw pirate clan took over the J'qithchak Mining Base in neighboring Jakal, they elected to use the system as a place to conduct business with other pirate groups, allowing negotiation visitors a temporary truce and safe passage through Jakal into the system. Visitors would conduct their business with the Claws in the asteroids. The hazardous region eventually came to be known as Makimagadega'Nargrast Idar - roughly translated as "Hell's Half-Acre" - by the Claws, as several negotiating parties were lost due to asteroid impacts and excessive radiation exposure. The policy of conducting business in the area has proven effective for the Claws, however, no doubt one of the reasons why they've grown to become a successful and powerful pirate clan. Tr'L Rass (3) sees very little commercial traffic; those cargo ships that blunder into the system are either ships that have gotten lost in Jakal or who have been sent to negotiate with the Claws for better terms of passage through Jakal; as of 2670, the only corporation even attempting passage through Jakal is Rondell Corporation, who are attempting to keep an office open in Anchorage system. The system has very little military presence, though occasionally patrols of the KAC Police out of Bifrost will enter the system. Surprisingly, the Claws don't maintain much of a presence in the system either, as there is still little point in visiting the system other than to conduct business. Other pirate groups may occasionally be found there, either to conduct business directly with the Claws or to conduct business with one another.
